WIPER ARM ADJUSTMENT
- Cycle wiper into PARK position. Check blade tips in blackout area. From bottom edge of windshield to blade should be no closer than1" (25.4 mm). (Scheme 2)
- Operate wipers. If requirements are not met, check linkage and pivot assembly for worn parts. During high speed wet glass operation, right hand blade tip may override cowl screen slightly. This is normal and should not affect wiper system performance.
- Wiper arm is supplied with a plastic key insert that aligns with a slot in the pivot. If wiper blade tip strikes glass molding or cowl screen due to long term normal wear, remove plastic key from wiper arm and reposition arm on pivot with wipers in PARK position.
