Note. Information on Caravan applies to Grand Caravan unless specified otherwise.

Use this article to quickly find specifications related to servicing and on-vehicle adjustments. This is a quick-reference article to use when you are familiar with an adjustment procedure and only need a specification.

(1) Approximate quantity listed. (2) Mopar® ATF+4 (Type 9602) is required in the 41TE automatic and T850 manual transaxles. Substitute fluids can introduce transmission problems and/or failure. (5) Only use an API Certified (GF-3) energy conserving engine oil that is certified for gasoline engines (5W-30 or 10W-30). Mopar® provides engine oils, meeting Material Standard MS-6395, that meet or exceed this requirement. On flex-fuel models, use Mopar® Flex-Fuel 5W-30 engine oil or an equivalent that meets Chrysler Standard MS-9214. Equivalent engine oils may be labeled as Multi-Fuel, Variable Fuel, Flexible Fuel, etc. SAE 5W-30 engine oil is preferred for use in Flexible Fuel engines. (6) Use only Mopar® ATF+4 Automatic Transmission Fluid (Type MS-9602) in the power steering system. Use of other Mopar® Power Steering Fluids should be avoided to ensure peak performance of the power steering system. (7) Use Mopar® Gear and Axle Lubricant (80W-90).

Severe service is described as use of ethanol fuel, frequent short trip operation of less than 5 miles, long periods of engine idling, trailer towing, police, taxi, local delivery service, or operating in dusty or excessively hot conditions. (2) Monthly interval does not apply. (3) Normal service interval is not available from manufacturer. Manufacturer lists service schedule only under severe service conditions. (4) Inspect and replace as necessary. (5) Recommended service interval. Not required to maintain emissions warranty. (6) Inspect at scheduled interval and replace as necessary. Inspect every 30,000 miles after first scheduled interval.

(2) Used belt is a belt that has been in service for more than 15 minutes. (3) Automatic belt tensioner is used. Belt tension adjustment is not required.
