1. Manually push the sunroof guide assembly (4) to the full forward position until it is locked into position. This is verified by attempting to push the guide assembly rearward. NOTE: The guide rail (2) will be raised above the U-frame assembly (4) when in the lock position.
2. Remove the sunroof glass (Refer to «GLASS»(ref-212846-S21087339782005122700000) ).
3. Manually move the guide pivot (3) inside the guide rail cam slot until it is centered between the etched timing marks (1) on both rails on both the left hand and right hand side rails.
4. Verify that the white marking is visible in the new motor window (1). If the mark is not visible, connect a power source to the motor and cycle the switch until the motor is in the closed position (white mark in window).
5. Install the sunroof motor and verify proper sunroof operation (Refer to «INSTALLATION»(ref-212846-S35295909002005122700000) ).
6. Install the sunroof glass, leaving the retaining bolts loose.
7. Install the sunroof assembly into the vehicle (Refer to «ASSEMBLY-MODULE»(ref-212846-S25441315702005122700000) ).
8. Flush the sunroof glass into the vehicle roof opening and check sunroof glass alignment (Refer to «ADJUSTMENTS»(ref-212846-S08311076662005122700000) ).

1. Move the glass panel (2) to the vent position.
2. Slide sunshade (5) rearward to the open position.
3. Remove the glass panel screws (3).
4. Lift off glass panel (2) and remove from vehicle.

Scheme 6

1. Position glass panel (2) on to mechanism lift arms.
2. Start the attaching screws (3).
3. Connect a 12v power supply and move the sunroof to the vent position then home position.
4. Adjust sunroof glass (2) to fit flush with roof line (Refer to «ADJUSTMENTS»(ref-212846-S08311076662005122700000) ).
5. Tighten the screws (3).
6. Verify sunroof operation and alignment.

Scheme 7

1. Move the sunshade (5) rearward to the open position.
2. Move the sunroof glass panel (2) to the fully closed position.
3. Loosen the forward attaching screws (3) on each side enough to permit the front of the glass (2) to adjust up or down.
4. Adjust the front surface of the sunroof glass panel (2) 0.00 mm to 1.75 mm (0.00 in. to 0.07 in.) below the top surface of the roof.
5. Tighten the front glass panel attaching screws (3) to 3.5 N.m (31 in. lbs.).
6. Loosen the rear screws (3) on each side enough to make the rear adjustment.
7. Adjust the rear surface of the sunroof glass panel (2) 0.00 mm to 1.75 mm (0.03 in. to 0.07 in.) above the top surface of the roof.
8. Tighten the rear glass panel attaching screws (3) to 3.5 N.m (31 in. lbs.).
9. Check for proper fit. If not OK, repeat glass panel adjustment.

1. Move glass panel to the fully closed position.
2. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
3. Remove headliner (Refer to «HEADLINER»(ref-212842-S26968069482005122700000) ).
4. Remove the bolts (1 & 4) and remove the video display support bracket, if equipped.
5. Disconnect the four drain tubes (1) from sunroof housing.
6. Disconnect the sunroof wire harness (1) electrical connector (3) and (4).
7. Loosen fasteners (3) attaching sunroof assembly.
8. With the aid of a helper, support the sunroof and remove the fasteners attaching sunroof assembly (4) to roof panel (1).
9. Remove the sunroof (4) from vehicle.

1. Verify that u-nuts (1) are in position in the roof bow #2 (2).
2. Verify that glass panel is loose and slightly retracted.
3. Raise sunroof module assembly (4) and guide it carefully into position.
4. While supporting the sunroof assembly (1) start the 12 attaching screws, three along each side rail, two along the front through and four along the motor bracket. Tighten the attaching screws to 6 N.m (53 in. lbs.) using the sequence shown.
5. Tighten the attaching screws to 6 N.m (53 in. lbs.) using the sequence shown.
6. Connect the electrical connector (4).
7. Connect the drain tubes to the sunroof (1).
8. Position the video display support bracket (2), if equipped, and install the bolts (1 & 4). Tighten the bolts to 6 N.m (53 in. lbs.).
9. Connect battery negative cable.
10. Test sunroof operation, adjust if necessary. (Refer to «ADJUSTMENTS»(ref-212846-S08311076662005122700000) )
11. Install headliner. (Refer to «HEADLINER»(ref-212842-S26968069482005122700000) )

1. Remove the water channel (1). (Refer to «CHANNEL-DRAIN»(ref-212846-S08416519712005122700000) )
2. Cycle sunroof motor (9) to the open position.
3. Move sunshade (5) towards the closed position stopping three to four inches from the closed position.
4. Depress the spring feet clips (14) on one side of the sun shade.
5. Remove the sunshade (5).

Scheme 19

1. Place one side of the sunshade (5) spring feet clips (14) into the top track U-frame (11).
2. Depress the both releasing clips on the other side to allow them to go into the top track U-frame (11).
3. Move sunshade (5) to the open position.
4. Verify that the sunshade (5) moves back and forth properly.
5. Cycle sunroof towards the closed position.
6. Install the water channel (1). (Refer to «CHANNEL-DRAIN»(ref-212846-S08416519712005122700000) )

Scheme 20

1. Remove glass panel (2). (Refer to «REMOVAL»(ref-212846-S13042113652005122700000) )
2. Remove the retaining screws (4).
3. Carefully slide water channel (1) forward to release tabs from U-frame (11) and remove from vehicle.

Scheme 21

1. Carefully place water channel (1) onto U-frame (11) and slide it rearward to lock tabs.
2. Install the water channel attaching screws (4).
3. Position glass panel (1) on to mechanism lift arms.
4. Start the glass attaching screws (3), and hand tighten.
5. Adjust sunroof glass (Refer to «ADJUSTMENTS»(ref-212846-S08311076662005122700000) ).
6. Verify sunroof operation and alignment.

1. Fully open sunroof glass panel.
2. Remove sunroof assembly (1). (Refer to «ASSEMBLY-MODULE»(ref-212846-S25441315702005122700000) )
3. Depress the front deflector retaining tabs (2).
4. Using a small flat bladed tool or equivalent, release the hinge (1) from the u-frame (2) track.
5. Remove wind deflector.

1. Position the spring arms down into the trough.
2. Place wind deflector arms in upward position engage the wind deflector blade into the U-frame.
3. Seat the retaining clips (2) fully.
4. Install the hinge into the u-frame.
5. Verify wind deflector operation.
6. Install the sun roof assembly (Refer to «ASSEMBLY-MODULE»(ref-212846-S25441315702005122700000) ).

Scheme 26

1. Remove trim lace (12) by holding one end of the trim lace at the butt joint and pulling horizontally into the opening until lace is completely loose from the headliner/sunroof joint.

1. Place butt joint of trim lace into position starting at the rear of the opening at the butt joint notch (15) in the u-frame.
2. Push lace into position.
3. Ensure that the corner radii is fully engage.
4. Once the original trim lace is attached to sunroof module using a trim stick C-4755 or equivalent, begin tucking the headliner under the lip on the trim lace working all the way around the opening. When installing a new trim lace, begin tucking the headliner under the lip as the tear cord is removed working all the way around the opening.
