RWD Models
Floor jack may be used under rear axle housing or front suspension lower control arms. DO NOT allow lifting plate fingers to contact axle cover plate when lifting from rear axle housing. Never use floor jack on any part of underbody.
| CAUTION | DO NOT raise entire side of vehicle with floor jack midway between front and rear wheels or permanent body damage could result. |

FWD Models
Floor jack may be used to raise vehicle at locations shown in illustrations. (Scheme 10)- (Scheme 15). A front floor jack point is located at center of front crossmember (inboard) and at center of rear axle.

EMERGENCY JACKING
Scissor jack receptacles are located at body sills. DO NOT use floor jack at scissors jack locations. Ensure scissors jack flange is in contact with body sill and jack is engaged in body sill receptacle.
Ensure scissor jack engages with locator pin on body sills. Always block opposite wheels and jack on level surface.
LIFTING VEHICLE WITH HOIST
| CAUTION | If removing rear axle, fuel tank, spare tire or lift gate on FWD vehicles and single post hoist is used, anchor vehicle to hoist. Place jack stands under vehicle or add weight on rear end of vehicle to prevent tipping when center of gravity changes. |
FRAME CONTACT HOIST
Frame contact hoist must be equipped with proper adapters to support vehicle in correct locations. On rear wheel drive models, use adaptor plates to make firm contact with lower control arms and rear axle housing.
Hoist should contact lower control arms and rear axle housing.
Axle contact hoist may be used on points shown in illustrations. Do not pick up vehicle at front lower control arms or rear trailing arm suspension.
