Removal & Installation
- Remove power window switch housing bezel retaining screw. Remove door pull strap. Remove armrest retaining screws, and remove from trim panel. Remove exterior mirror retaining screw and bezel. Remove exterior mirror, if necessary.
- Using a trim removal tool, carefully pry trim panel away from door inner panel. Remove trim panel from door. Carefully separate waterdam from door inner panel at areas with adhesive. Remove waterdam from door inner panel. Remove retainers and remove noise insulator from door inner panel.
- Raise window to full up position. Secure glass to door frame to hold glass in up position. Disconnect wiring connector from motor. Remove mounting screws holding motor gearbox to regulator. Remove screw securing motor tie-down bracket to inner panel.
- Grip motor housing and pull motor toward inner door panel. Rock and twist assembly to disengage motor from regulator. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten gearbox screws to 50-60 INCH lbs. (68-81 N.m), armrest screws to 20 INCH lbs. (3 N.m) and housing bezel retaining screw to 17 INCH lbs. (2 N.m).
- Remove front door trim panel. See WINDOW MOTOR & REGULATOR. Disconnect window lift plate from glass. Disconnect window track from door.
- Disconnect window lift motor and drive cables. Disconnect electrical connections. Carefully remove window track, cables and lift motor assembly from door. To install, reverse removal procedure.
Squeeze ends of switch housing while pulling switch housing away from door panel. Gently pry locking tabs of switch terminal block away from switch and carefully removal terminal block. To install, reverse removal procedure.
