EMR LIGHT RESET PROCEDURE
- The EMR light serves as the vehicle emissions control system service reminder. EMR light is not an emissions warning system; it is only a reminder to perform emissions servicing.
- The EMR light will illuminate at 60,000, 82,500 and 120,000-mile intervals. Service specified components at designated interval. See «EMR LIGHT COMPONENT SERVICE INTERVAL»(ref-10645-S25109071742000111000000) table. EMR LIGHT COMPONENT SERVICE INTERVAL Interval Component To Be Serviced 60,000 Miles Replace EGR Valve & Tube (If Equipped) Clean EGR Passage, Replace PCV Valve 82,500 Miles Replace Oxygen Sensor 120,000 Miles Replace EGR Valve & Tube (If Equipped) Clean EGR Passage, Replace PCV Valve
- Once components have been serviced, EMR light can be reset. It will be necessary to place DRB-II in the FUEL/IGN MENU to reset EMR light. This menu is obtained when retrieving fault codes. See DRB-II METHOD under «RETRIEVING FAULT CODES»(ref-10645-S00398007772000111000000) under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM.
- Once in FUEL/IGN MENU, press the down arrow to select No. 5) ADJUSTMENTS. Display will read as follows: ADJUSTMENTS, 1) ERASE FAULTS, 2) RESET MEMORY, 3) RESET EMR LIGHT, and 4) EMR MEMORY CHECK. Press the down arrow to select No. 3) RESET EMR LIGHT.
- Display will ask if you are sure you want to reset EMR light. Press ENTER button to reset EMR light.
