There are 4 audio systems offered on this vehicle. The base system uses 4 speakers. The optional systems have 8 speakers, power amplifiers at the speakers, name brand speakers relay, and a radio choke. All of the audio systems are powered by a 10-amp fuse located in cavity No. 8 of the junction block on circuit X12. This fuse is HOT when ignition switch is turned to the ACCESSORY or RUN position. Circuit A31 supplies power to fuse No. 11. The A31 circuit, which receives power from the ignition switch, on circuit A1, is protected by a 40-amp fuse located in cavity No. 5 of the Power Distribution Center (PDC). Both the standard and optional radios use an external case ground. This case ground attaches to the rear of the radio.
Operating instructions for the factory installed audio systems can be found in the Owners Manual provided with the vehicle. All vehicles are equipped with an Ignition OFF Draw (IOD) fuse in the power distribution center located in the engine compartment. After the IOD fuse or battery has been disconnected, the radio station sets and clock will require resetting.
