IDENTIFICATION

Note. Unless noted otherwise, all information also applies to Cab & Chassis models.

CAUTIONWhen battery is disconnected, vehicle computer and memory systems may lose memory data. Driveability problems may exist until computer systems have completed a relearn cycle. See COMPUTER RELEARN PROCEDURES - DAIMLERCHRYSLER article in GENERAL INFORMATION before disconnecting battery.
CAUTIONWhen replacing a blown fuse, it is important to use only a fuse having the correct amperage rating. The use of a fuse with a rating other than indicated may result in a dangerous electrical system overload. If a properly rated fuse continues to blow, it indicates a problem in the circuit that must be corrected.

The fuse block in the extreme left end of the instrument panel. For access, open the driver's door to its full open position. Remove the fuse access cover. (Scheme 1) Three spare fuses on the back of the cover, one 5, 10, and 20-amp fuse. A fuse puller, located on the back of the cover, is provided to assist removal and replacement of fuses.

This vehicle uses blade fuses. The amperage rating of each blade fuse is stamped on top of the fuse body. The fuse bodies are also colored according to amperage rating.
