UPDATE VEHICLE CONFIGURATION

Note. The wiTECH software level must be at the latest release to perform this procedure.

1. VIN must be updated with the sales code of the added accessory in order to enable system functionality. Using the DealerCONNECT website and the wiTECH diagnostic application, complete the vehicle configuration.
2. Log on to https://dealerconnect.chrysler.com.
3. In the "Vehicle Option" screen under the "Global Claims System" category in the "Service" tab, enter the vehicle VIN, four digit pin number obtained from the dealership parts department and add sales code(s) noted below as a "Dealer Installed Option". RHR (AM/FM/DVD/HDD with SDARS)
4. Confirm that the new sales code has been successfully added to the VIN.
5. With the wiTECH diagnostic application, perform the following steps form the Initial Start Up Screen: Select the "DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURES" tab Select "RESTORE VEHICLE CONFIGURATION" Select the "Run Diagnostic" button Select "CONTINUE" Verify that the vehicle VIN number is correct Once verified, select the "Correct VIN" button Note On-Screen instructions and select the "Close" button

1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
2. Using trim stick C-4755 or equivalent, pull upward to disengage the retaining clips and remove the center bezel hood (1).
3. Using trim stick C-4755 or equivalent, disengage the center trim bezel (1) retaining clips.
4. Reach behind the bezel and disconnect all electrical connections.
5. Remove the center bezel from the instrument panel.
6. Remove the radio mounting fasteners (1).
7. Pull the radio (2) out far enough to access the back of the radio. CAUTION: Pulling the antenna cable straight out of the radio without pulling on the locking antenna connector could damage the cable or radio.
8. Disconnect the AM/FM antenna (2) and electrical connectors (1).
9. If equipped, disconnect the navigation antenna (3).
10. If equipped, disconnect the USB connectors (4).
11. Remove the radio from the instrument panel.
12. Position the new radio to the instrument panel.
13. Connect the AM/FM antenna (2) and electrical connectors (1).
14. Connect the satellite/navigation antenna (3).
15. If equipped, connect the USB connectors (4).
16. Install and tighten the radio mounting fasteners.
17. Position the center bezel (1) to the instrument panel.
18. Reach behind the bezel and connect all electrical connections.
19. Press firmly and evenly around the perimeter of the bezel to engage the retaining clips.
20. Position the center bezel hood (1) and press firmly and evenly around the perimeter to engage the retaining clips.
21. Connect the negative battery cable.

1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
2. Using (special tool #C-4755, Trim Stick) disengage the center trim bezel (1) retaining clips.
3. Reach behind the bezel and disconnect all electrical connections.
4. Remove the center bezel from the instrument panel.
5. Remove the radio mounting fasteners (1).
6. Pull the radio (2) out far enough to access the back of the radio. CAUTION: Pulling the antenna cable straight out of the radio without pulling on the locking antenna connector could damage the cable or radio.
7. Disconnect the AM/FM antenna (2) and electrical connectors (1).
8. If equipped, disconnect the navigation antenna (3).
9. If equipped, disconnect the USB connectors (4).
10. Remove the radio from the instrument panel.
11. After removing the 10-way connector (1) from the back of the radio, secure it to the existing harness with a tie strap (2).
12. Using (special tool #C-4755, Trim Stick) remove and disconnect the HVAC controls (1).
13. Using (special tool #C-4755, Trim Stick) remove the shifter trim bezel (1).
14. Using (special tool #C-4755, Trim Stick), remove and disconnect the console front storage bin (1).
15. Remove the trim piece (3) in front of the Hands Free Module (HFM) to access the connectors (1, 2).
16. Disconnect the electrical connector (2) from the HFM and the USB connector (1) if equipped.
17. Connect the factory wiring harness connector (2) to the HFM overlay harness connector (1).
18. If equipped with USB, connect the factory USB connector (4) to the USB extension harness connector (3).
19. Route the overlay harness and extension cable along the existing harness to the radio.
20. Using the supplied tie straps, secure the overlay wiring harness and USB extension cable so that the wires will not cause any noise or chafing.
21. Position the radio to the instrument panel.
22. Connect the AM/FM antenna (2).
23. Connect the factory electrical connector (1) and the connector from the supplied overlay wiring harness that was routed from the HFM.
24. Connect the satellite/navigation antenna (3).
25. If equipped, connect the USB connectors (4), including the one that was routed from the HFM.
26. Install and tighten the radio mounting fasteners (1).
27. Install the trim piece in front of the HFM.
28. Connect and install the console front storage bin (1).
29. Install the shifter trim bezel (1).
30. Connect and install the HVAC controls (1).
31. Position the center bezel (1) to the instrument panel.
32. Reach behind the bezel and connect all electrical connections.
33. Press firmly and evenly around the perimeter of the bezel to engage the retaining clips.
34. Connect the negative battery cable.

PROCEDURE STEPS

1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
2. Using (special tool #C-4755, Trim Stick) pull upward to disengage the retaining clips and remove the center bezel hood (1).
3. Using (special tool #C-4755, Trim Stick) disengage the center trim bezel (1) retaining clips.

11. Remove the radio from the instrument panel.
12. After removing the 10-way connector (1) from the back of the radio, secure it to the existing harness with a tie strap (2).
13. Using (special tool #C-4755, Trim Stick) remove and disconnect the HVAC controls (1).
14. Using (special tool #C-4755, Trim Stick) remove the shifter trim bezel (1).
15. Using (special tool #C-4755, Trim Stick), remove and disconnect the console front storage bin (1).
16. Remove the trim piece (3) in front of the Hands Free Module (HFM) to access the connectors (1, 2).
17. Disconnect the electrical connector (2) from the HFM and the USB connector (1) if equipped.
18. Connect the factory wiring harness connector (2) to the HFM overlay harness connector (1).
19. If equipped with USB, connect the factory USB connector (4) to the USB extension harness connector (3).
20. Route the overlay harness and extension cable along the existing harness to the radio.
21. Using the supplied tie straps, secure the overlay wiring harness and USB extension cable so that the wires will not cause any noise or chafing.
22. Position the radio to the instrument panel.
23. Connect the AM/FM antenna (2).
24. Connect the factory electrical connector (1) and the connector from the supplied overlay wiring harness that was routed from the HFM.
25. Connect the satellite/navigation antenna (3).
26. If equipped, connect the USB connectors (4), including the one that was routed from the HFM.
27. Install and tighten the radio mounting fasteners.
28. Install the trim piece in front of the HFM.
29. Connect and install the console front storage bin (1).
30. Install the shifter trim bezel (1).
31. Connect and install the HVAC controls (1).
32. Position the center bezel (1) to the instrument panel.
33. Reach behind the bezel and connect all electrical connections.
34. Press firmly and evenly around the perimeter of the bezel to engage the retaining clips.
35. Position the center bezel hood (1) and press firmly and evenly around the perimeter to engage the retaining clips.
36. Connect the negative battery cable.
