Foreword
The multifunction screen is not just an information device for the driver but is an ECU on the COMFORT VAN which performs the following functions
- Inform the driver on components exterior to the system (date, time, exterior temperature)
- Inform the driver on the system's interior components (autodiagnostic, trip computer)
- Control the radio and manage its display (*)
- Control the CD changer and manage its display (*)
- Control the navigation system and manage its display (*)
- Control the carphone and manage its display (*)
(*) according to equipment
There are 6 different multifunction screens
- Type A multifunction screen
- Type B multifunction screen
- Type C multifunction screen (with "monochrome" navigation system)
- Type D multifunction screen (with "colour" navigation system)
- Type Ct multifunction screen (see RT3 radiotelephone)
- Type Dt multifunction screen (see RT3 radiotelephone)
There are 3 levels of radiotelephone (RT3)
- Level 1+: radiotelephone (RT3) with radio, telephone and on-board navigation system functions and Ct monochrome screen
- Level 3: radiotelephone (RT3) with radio, telephone and on-board navigation system functions and Dt colour screen

Functions associated with the multi-function screen
The multifunction screen displays various items of information
- Hr
- Date
- Date and time display format
- Exterior temperature
- Audio system
- CD player
- Trip computer
- Telephone integegrated into the radio
- Parking assistance
- Status of the openers
- Vehicle warnings and information
Press management
Different press types allowing use of the screens
- Single press: on detection of the press
- Short press: on release of the button, before the timing of a long press
- Long press: longer than a time T
- Maintained press at the end of the time of a long press, the information is sent periodically every 200 ms while the button is depressed

Key
- Z1: zone reserved for the display of information on status of date, radio, doors and tailgate
- Z2: zone reserved for display of time, outside temperature, and possibly other peripherals
- Z3: zone specifically reserved for pictogrammes

Type Ct multifunction screen
The multifunction screen has the role of informing users on the status of the following functions

- CD player
- Navigation

- Trip computer
- Vehicle alerts
- Configuration
- Etc.
It also manages its own contrast level thanks to an internal light sensor
The Ct screen is in direct connection with the RT3 radiotelephone across a CAN link. it is not in relation with any other component of the vehicle

DT type multifunction screen
The multifunction screen has the role of informing users on the status of the following functions
- Radio
- CD player
- Navigation
- Services
- Trip computer
- Vehicle alerts
- Configuration
- Etc.
It also manages its own contrast level thanks to an internal light sensor
The DT screen is in direct connection with the RT3 radiotelephone via a fibre optic link. it is also connects via the external video inputs with a video player or a RV tuner for example
The screen consists of 3 modules: an LCD screen, a graphics card and a light sensor
