Remove

• The windscreen wiper arm-blade assembly (1)
• The windscreen lower trim (2)

Remove

• The windscreen pillar trims (4)
• The interior mirror (3)

Fit the electric cutter [FEIN-400E] with blade N°126

Cut the bead at the base of the windscreen (at "a")

Fit the electric cutter [FEIN-400E] with blade N°143 (adjustment: 28 mm)

Cut the bead starting with the sides ("b", "d"), finish with the top ("c")

Remove the windscreen; using the double hinged suction cups [KIT1-VENT]

Cleaning - preparation

Preparing the windscreen

1st case: reusing the windscreen

Level off the adhesive bead; using tool [FEIN-400E] fitted with blade n°146

Remove any dust using a clean cloth

2nd case: fitting a new windscreen

Degrease the edge of the windscreen using the degreaser

From the edge of the seal of the windscreen, mark the bonding route on the printed area (at "e"); using a lead pencil

• In the area "A"; at 15 mm (from the edge of the glass)
• In the area "B"; at 11 mm (from the edge of the seal)

Apply glass primer, 10 mm wide seal

Allow to dry for 5 mn

Preparation of the aperture

1st case: on the remains of the bead of adhesive

Level off the adhesive bead; using tool [FEIN-400E] fitted with blade n°146

Remove any dust using a clean cloth

2nd case: on the new component

Degrease the edge of the windscreen using the degreaser

Apply the steel primer

Allow to dry for 10 mn

Fit the 3 shims with pinholes

Refitting

Fit the windscreen trim (6)

Fit the extruder gun with the cartridge and the special nozzle

Apply the bead of sealing adhesive to the windscreen surround (height of the bead 12 to 15 mm)

Offer up the windscreen to the aperture; using the double hinged suction cups [KIT1-VENT]

Check the fits and clearances of the windscreen

Press lightly around the edges of the windscreen

Clean the windscreen and its surround

Refit the components removed
