CHASSIS ALIGNMENT INSPECTION
- Observe the general information on chassis alignment inspection. See «WHEEL ALIGNMENT»(/chrysler/crossfire/i-final-2008-2008/remont/suspension-front/#suspension-system) .
- Drive the vehicle onto an electronic measuring system.
- Unlock the turntables and the sliding platforms.
- Install a brake pedal winch on the brake pedal.
- Attach the wheel sensors.
- Perform the initial measurement process.
- Inspect the vehicle level at the front and the rear axles and adjust if necessary. See «CHECKING VEHICLE LEVEL»(/chrysler/crossfire/i-final-2008-2008/remont/suspension-front/#suspension-system__checking-vehicle-level) .
- Inspect the vehicle level at the front and the rear axles with an electronic inclinometer and adjust if necessary. See «INSPECTING AND ADJUSTING USING ELECTRONIC INCLINOMETER»(/chrysler/crossfire/i-final-2008-2008/remont/suspension-front/#suspension-system__inspecting-and-adjusting-using-electronic-inclinometer) .
- Inspect and adjust the rear axle toe. See «CHECK AND ADJUST REAR AXLE TOE»(/chrysler/crossfire/i-final-2008-2008/remont/suspension-front/#suspension-system) .
- Inspect and adjust the front axle camber and caster. See «CHECK AND ADJUST FRONT CASTER/CAMBER»(/chrysler/crossfire/i-final-2008-2008/remont/suspension-front/#suspension-system) .
- Inspect the rear axle camber. See «CHECKING REAR AXLE CAMBER»(/chrysler/crossfire/i-final-2008-2008/remont/suspension-front/#suspension-system) .
- Inspect and adjust the front axle toe. See «CHECK AND ADJUST FRONT TOE»(/chrysler/crossfire/i-final-2008-2008/remont/suspension-front/#suspension-system__check-and-adjust-front-toe) .
- Perform the final measurement of the vehicle.
- Detach the sensors.
- Remove the brake pedal winch.
- Carefully drive the vehicle off the measuring system.
- Lock the turntables.

Scheme 5: CHECKING REAR AXLE CAMBER
- Check the vehicle level at the front and rear axles and adjust if necessary. See «CHECKING VEHICLE LEVEL»(/chrysler/crossfire/i-final-2008-2008/remont/suspension-front/#suspension-system__checking-vehicle-level) .
- Check the vehicle level at the front and rear axles with an electronic inclinometer and adjust if necessary. See «INSPECTING AND ADJUSTING USING ELECTRONIC INCLINOMETER»(/chrysler/crossfire/i-final-2008-2008/remont/suspension-front/#suspension-system__inspecting-and-adjusting-using-electronic-inclinometer) .
- Check the rear axle camber. (POS+) = Positive Camber, (NEG-) = Negative Camber. Rear Camber specification is -1.13 (+/- 0.5) degrees. The camber on the rear axle is not adjustable. If substantial deviations in the rear axle camber are found, the cause may be one of the following. See «SPECIFICATIONS»(/chrysler/crossfire/i-final-2008-2008/remont/suspension-front/#suspension-system) . Too great a difference in the vehicle level between the right and left-hand sides of vehicle. Camber strut bent. Accident damage to the frame floor. Level differences at the mounting points for the rear axle carrier between the left and right sides of the body. Experience shows that bending caused by an accident also has an effect on the toe.
