FUEL TANK DRAINING

CAUTIONGasoline or gasoline vapors are highly flammable. A fire could occur if an ignition source is present. Never drain or store gasoline or diesel fuel in an open container, due to the possibility of fire or explosion. Have a dry chemical (Class B) fire extinguisher nearby.
WARNINGBefore servicing any electrical component, the ignition key must be in the OFF or LOCK position and all electrical loads must be OFF, unless instructed otherwise in these procedures. If a tool or equipment could easily come in contact with a live exposed electrical terminal, also disconnect the negative battery cable. Failure to follow these precautions may cause personal injury and/or damage to the vehicle or its components.
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Raise the vehicle.
  3. Loosen the fuel fill hose clamp (1). (Схема №108)
  4. Disconnect the fuel fill hose (2) from the fuel tank.
  5. Use a hand or air operated pump device in order to drain as much fuel from the fuel tank as possible.
