REMOVAL & INSTALLATION

Cruise control functional switches are not serviceable. Switches are integral with Supplemental Inflatable Restraint (SIR) system steering wheel module coil assembly, also referred to as the clockspring. See appropriate AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEMS article.
Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Remove 3 screws and lower instrument panel steering column trim cover. Depress retaining tabs securing cruise control main switch to switch panel. Pull cruise control main switch from switch panel. Disconnect harness connector and remove cruise control main switch. To install, reverse removal procedure.
- Remove cable cover from cruise control servo. Loosen cruise control servo cable lock nuts and remove cable from servo. Remove cruise control servo harness connector. Remove 3 mounting bolts. Remove cruise control servo.
- Install cruise control servo and 3 mounting bolts. Tighten mounting bolts to 89 INCH lbs. (10 N.m). Install cable cover. Install cruise control servo harness connector. Adjust cruise control servo cable. See «CRUISE CONTROL SERVO CABLE»(ref-112293-S34683589932001081600000) under ADJUSTMENTS.
