Programmable Automatic Door Locks (If Equipped)

If the vehicle has power door locks, it is equipped with a feature that enables you to program the power door locks.

The vehicle left the factory programmed to automatically lock all doors when the vehicle is shifted out of PARK (P), and all doors unlock when the vehicle is shifted into PARK (P).

If the vehicle has a manual transmission it left the factory programmed to lock all doors when the vehicle speed is greater than 24 km/h (15 mph) for two seconds, and unlock all doors once the key is removed from the ignition.

The following instructions detail how enter the programming mode for the power door lock feature

  1. Begin with the ignition in OFF. Then pull the signal/multifunction lever all the way toward you and hold it there while you perform the next step.
  2. Turn the key to RUN and OFF twice. Then, with the key in OFF, release the turn signal/multifunction lever. Once you do this you will hear the lock switch lock and unlock.
  3. You are now ready to program the automatic door locks. Select one of the following four programming options and follow the instructions. You will have 30 seconds to complete programming. If you exceed the 30 second limit, The locks will automatically lock and unlock to indicate that you have left the program mode. If this occurs, repeat the procedure beginning with step 1. You can exit the program mode any time by turning the ignition to RUN.

If the LOCK/UNLOCK switches are not pressed while in the programming mode, the current LOCK/UNLOCK mode will not be modified.

  1. The following is a list of available programming options
  2. All doors lock/Only the driver's door unlocks: Press the lock side of the power door lock switch on the door panel once, and then the unlock side once.
  3. All doors lock/All doors unlock: Press the lock side of the power door lock switch on the door panel once, and then the unlock side twice.
  4. All doors lock/None of the doors unlock: Press the lock side of the power door lock switch on the door panel once, and then the unlock side three times.
  5. No doors lock/None of the doors unlock: Press the lock side of the power door lock switch on the door panel twice. This turns off the automatic door lock feature.

Memory Seat Programming

Perform the following actions in order to program the memory seats for 2 separate drivers

  1. Move the seat to the desired position.
  2. Press the memory set switch. A chime should be heard.
  3. Press the correct memory seat button for the specific driver within 5 seconds after pressing the memory set switch. A chime should be heard.
  4. Repeat the steps for the second driver.

Programming Features with the Secondary Information Center

To enter programming with the SIC, perform the following actions

  1. Turn ON the ignition with the engine OFF.
  2. Ensure that the vehicle is in PARK or that the park brake is applied.
  3. Press the MENU button on the SIC.

Automatic Door Locks

Continue with the following steps in order to program the automatic door locks feature

  1. The SIC displays AUTOMATIC DOOR LOCKS: ENABLED or DISABLED.
  2. Press the arrow button on the SIC in order to select the desired choice.
  3. Press the MENU button in order to advance to the next option.
  4. The SIC displays AUTOMATIC DOOR UNLOCK: DRIVER, ALL, or DISABLED.
  5. Press the arrow button on the SIC in order to select the desired choice.
  6. Press the MENU button in order to advance to the next option.

Remote Activation Verification

Continue with the following steps in order to program the remote activation verification feature

  1. The SIC displays REMOTE LOCK FEEDBACK: HORN, LAMPS, HORN&LAMPS, or NONE.
  2. Press the arrow button on the SIC in order to select the desired choice.
  3. Press the MENU button in order to advance to the next option.
  4. The SIC displays REMOTE UNLOCK FEEDBACK: HORN, LAMPS, HORN&LAMPS, or NONE.
  5. Press the arrow button on the SIC in order to select the desired choice.
  6. Press the MENU button in order to advance to the next option.

Headlamp Delay

Continue with the following steps in order to program the headlamp delay feature

  1. The SIC displays HEADLAMP DELAY: NONE, 10, 20, 30, 60, 120, or 180.
  2. Press the arrow button on the SIC in order to select the desired choice.
  3. Press the MENU button in order to advance to the next option.

Perimeter Lighting

Continue with the following steps in order to program the perimeter lighting feature

  1. The SIC displays PERIMETER LIGHTS: ENABLED or DISABLED.
  2. Press the arrow button on the SIC in order to select the desired choice.
  3. Press the MENU button in order to advance to the next option.

Memory Position Recall

Continue with the following steps in order to program the memory position recall feature

  1. The SIC displays MEMORY POSITION RECALL: REMOTE, KEY IN, DISABLED.
  2. Press the arrow button on the SIC in order to select the desired choice.
  3. Press the MENU button in order to advance to the next option.

Exit Position Recall

Continue with the following steps in order to program the exit position recall feature

  1. The SIC displays EXIT POSITION RECALL: ENABLED or DISABLED.
  2. Press the arrow button on the SIC in order to select the desired choice.
  3. Press the MENU button in order to advance to the next option.

Mirror Reverse Tilt

Continue with the following steps in order to program the Mirror Reverse Tilt feature

  1. The SIC displays MIRROR REVERSE TILT: PASSENGER, DRIVER, ALL, or DISABLED.
  2. Press the arrow button on the SIC in order to select the desired choice.
  3. When the vehicle is shifted into REVERSE and the Mirror Reverse Tilt feature is activated, any adjustments made to the preset position now becomes the new set position stored, this feature can be customized for each driver.
  4. Press the MENU button in order to advance to the next option.

Alarm Warning

Continue with the following steps in order to program the alarm warning feature

  1. The SIC displays ALARM WARNING: HORN, LAMPS, HORN&LAMPS, or NONE.
  2. Press the arrow button on the SIC in order to select the desired choice.
  3. Press the MENU button in order to advance to the next option.

Language

Continue with the following steps in order to program the language displayed

  1. The SIC displays LANGUAGE: ENGLISH, FRENCH, SPANISH, or ARABIC.
  2. Press the arrow button on the SIC in order to select the desired choice.
  3. Press the MENU button in order to advance to the next option.

Display Units

Continue with the following steps in order to program the display units

  1. The SIC displays ENGLISH or METRIC.
  2. Press the arrow button on the SIC in order to select the desired choice.
  3. Press the MENU button in order to advance to the next option.

Date and Time

Continue with the following steps in order to program the current time and date

  1. The SIC displays the current time and date.
  2. Press the RESET button on the SIC in order to select the desired choice: set year, set month, set day, set hour, set minute, set AM or PM. The currently selected setting will flash.
  3. Press the arrow button on the SIC in order to change the value.
  4. Press the MENU button in order to advance to the next option.

Exit Programming

The following actions end the programming session

  1. The ignition is turned OFF.
  2. The programming timer of 15 seconds expires.
  3. Any other button on the SIC is pressed.
