Faulty electrical connections or wiring may be the cause of intermittent conditions. Refer to TESTING FOR INTERMITTENT & POOR CONNECTIONS .

- Remove the front seat from the vehicle. Refer to «Seat Replacement - Front Bucket»(ref-176716-S19498008392005051200000) .
- Remove the head restraint and guides. Refer to «Head Restraint Replacement»(ref-176716-S23072688962005051200000) .
- Remove the seat back cover and pad. Refer to «Seat Back Cover & Pad Replacement - Front»(ref-176716-S33828373172005051200000) .
- Drill out the rivet holes on the bolster paddles (1).
- Detach the lumbar clip from the top of the seat frame.
- Remove the lumbar wire from the bottom of the seat frame.
- Disconnect the electrical connectors to the motors.
- Remove the power lumbar/bolster assembly from the seat.

The memory seat system consists of the following components
- Power seat switch assembly
- Memory recall switch assembly

- Rear vertical adjuster motor
- Recline adjuster motor
- Memory seat module
- SEAT 25A circuit breaker
- MIR/LOCK 3A fuse
- IGN3 10A fuse
