- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to «JACKING AND LIFTING»(/chevrolet/silverado-1500-hd/2001-2006/remont/hoistjack/#jacking-and-lifting) .
- Remove the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to TIRE AND WHEEL REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Remove the stabilizer links. Refer to «Stabilizer Shaft Link Replacement»(ref-188970-S34508844522005091100000) .
- Remove the oil pan skid plate, if equipped.
- Remove the stabilizer shaft insulator bracket bolts (3).
- Remove the stabilizer shaft bracket (2).
- Remove the stabilizer shaft (4).
- Remove the stabilizer shaft insulators (1).
- Inspect all of the parts for wear and damage.
