Caliper & Anchor Plate Wear Adjustments (Disc Brakes)
Bendix calipers have oversize replacement keys available to compensate for wear at the caliper to anchor plate to contact points. The keys are identified by marks. If wear is excessive, a rattle sound can be heard from the front brake area. Use the following procedure to measure and correct this condition.
- Remove caliper. (Scheme 10) Clean surfaces with a wire brush. Smooth any deep nicks with a file.
- Measure caliper contact surface for wear. Measure caliper to anchor plate wear. Install caliper.
