1Inside Rearview Mirror Mount Plate Insert Procedure Adjust the mirror to the full downward position. Using a suitable plastic tool, insert the tool between the edge of the insert and the headliner, turn the tool until the insert releases.
2Inside Rearview Mirror Mount Plate Cover Procedure Grasp both sides of the inside rearview mirror mount plate cover. Pull cover downward, releasing the cover tabs from the windshield retainer.

2Sunshade Assembly Procedure Squeeze the tabs at the base of the sunshade assembly to remove from the headliner. Disconnect the electrical connector.

1Windshield Side Garnish Molding Assembly Procedure Tether clip at upper portion of garnish molding MUST be replaced every time windshield pillar molding is removed. Starting at the top, gently pull on the garnish molding to disengage the clips. Tabs must be installed prior to retainer clips. Tabs to be fully seated in instrument panel trim panel retainer and valance panel. Disconnect the electrical connector. When replacing the windshield side garnish molding, transfer all necessary components.

Refer to Body Side Trim Panel Replacement - Left Side , or Body Side Trim Panel Replacement - Right Side . Remove upper and lower together. Separate after removal, if necessary. Loosen the rear compartment opening weatherstrip. Route the seat belt through trim panel. Disconnect the electrical connector.
