1990-92 ZR1 Model
On the ZR1 Special Performance Coupe, this light is a reminder that the engine is switched to full power. This setting provides additional power to the engine. The light will stay on until switched back to the normal position.
SERVICE ENGINE SOON/CHECK ENGINE WARNING LIGHT
The SERVICE ENGINE SOON warning light indicates a malfunction in the engine control system. When functioning correctly, the light comes on when ignition is turned on and goes out when engine is started.
If light fails to come on with ignition or remains on when running, a service need is indicated. A 2-digit or 3-digit trouble code will be stored into memory if a problem is detected. When trouble codes are repaired the light should return to normal function.
1990-92 (If Equipped)
The INFL REST warning light indicates a potential problem that could prevent proper deployment of the air bag in an accident. When functioning correctly, the light comes on when ignition is turned on and goes out when engine is started.
If light fails to come on with ignition or remains on when running, a service need is indicated. A 2-digit or 3-digit trouble code will be stored into memory if a problem is detected. When trouble codes are repaired the light should return to normal function.
1989-92 (If Equipped)
The LOW TIRE PRESSURE warning light indicates that one or more tires have a tire pressure below 25 psi (172 kPa). For this component to work properly, the car must be traveling above 25 MPH for a distance of at least 2 miles. The SERVICE LTPWS warning light indicates that the LOW TIRE PRESSURE warning system is not working properly. However, this light may also come on during low speeds (less than 25 MPH) or stop-and-go driving, even though tire pressure is above 25 psi (172 kPa).
The SERVICE RIDE CONTROL warning light monitors the Selective Ride Control option. This light should come on when the car is started to indicate that the system is working. If the light does not come on, the light should be fixed immediately.
ANTI-LOCK BRAKE/ABS ACTIVE WARNING LIGHTS
The ANTI-LOCK BRAKE warning light monitors the readiness of the anti-lock feature. This light should come on when the car is started to indicate that the system is working. If the light does not come on, the light should be fixed immediately. The ABS ACTIVE light should come on when the ABS system is engaged during a brake application.
