Installation Procedure

  1. Partially install the front door trim plate (1) to the front door trim panel.
  2. Connect the electrical connectors to the switches, if equipped.
  3. Align the retainers on the front door trim plate (1) to the slots in the front door trim panel
  4. Push towards the door panel to engage the front door trim plate (1) retainers. CAUTION: Refer to «FASTENER NOTICE»(/chevrolet/chevy-express-h2500/2003-2003/remont/oem-general-information/#gm-vehicles-cautions-notices__fastener-notice) .
  5. Install the screws (2). Tighten Tighten the screw that retains the front door trim plate to 1.9 N.m (17 lb in)
  6. Install the inside door handle bezel. Refer to «Handle Bezel Replacement - Inside - Front»(/chevrolet/chevy-express-h2500/2003-2003/remont/door-locks-anti-theft-systems/#door-system-mirror-system-window-system) .
  7. Install the window regulator handle, if equipped. Refer to «Window Regulator Handle Replacement - Door»(/chevrolet/chevy-express-h2500/2003-2003/remont/door-locks-anti-theft-systems/#door-system-mirror-system-window-system__window-regulator-handle-replacement-door) .

  1. Remove the inside door handle bezel. Refer to «Handle Bezel Replacement - Inside - Rear»(/chevrolet/chevy-express-h2500/2003-2003/remont/door-locks-anti-theft-systems/#door-system-mirror-system-window-system) .
  2. Remove the screw (1) from the door trim plate (2).
  3. Partially remove the trim plate (2) from the door trim panel.
  4. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the door lock switch, if equipped.
  5. Remove the front door trim plate (2) from the vehicle.
