Disconnect cable from battery negative terminal. Remove solenoid wires. Remove rear starter support bracket. Remove A/C compressor support rod. Remove starter mounting bolts. Remove starter.
5.7L V8
Disconnect cable from battery negative terminal. Raise and support vehicle. Remove starter bracket nut and flywheel cover. Remove starter mounting bolts. Remove starter.
ALL OTHER ENGINES
Disconnect cable from battery negative terminal. Raise and support vehicle. Remove brackets or shields that may interfere with starter removal. Remove starter-to-engine bolts and lower starter. Disconnect solenoid wires. Remove starter.
