Important Preliminary Checks Before Starting
Perform the Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle before using the Symptom Tables in order to verify that all of the following are true
Intermittent
Faulty electrical connections or wiring may be the cause of intermittent conditions. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections .
Shift Lever Does Not Move with Brake Pedal Depressed

| 3 | Turn the ignition OFF. Disconnect the BTSI (Brake Transfer Shift Interlock) solenoid. Turn the ignition ON, with the engine OFF. Press and hold the brake pedal.
