Intermittent failures cause SERVICE ENGINE/THROTTLE SOON light to flicker or illuminate and go out about 10 seconds after intermittent fault goes away. However, control module retains corresponding trouble code in memory. If related fault does not reoccur within 50 engine restarts, related trouble code is erased from control module memory. Sensor, connector or wiring related problems may cause intermittent failures. See TESTS W/O CODES - GASOLINE article in this section.
