Personalization Description and Operation

Personalization features may be set for the vehicle or the driver. Vehicle features do not change with each driver. Specific drivers are recognized by the vehicle through the keyless entry transmitters, the memory buttons, or the driver information center (DIC), and the personalization settings for that driver are recalled.

Enter Programming

To enter programming with the DIC, perform the following actions

  1. Turn the ignition to RUN.
  2. Place the vehicle in PARK.
  3. Press the RESET button on the driver information center (DIC) in order to clear any IPC warning messages until you clear them all (LOW VOLTAGE, DOOR AJAR, etc.).
  4. Press the OPTIONS button on the DIC.
  5. The DIC displays CONFIGURE OPTIONS.

Driver Selection

Continue with the following steps in order to personalize the driver selection feature

  1. The DIC displays DRIVER #X.
  2. Press the RESET button to change to the next driver selection.
  3. Press the OPTIONS button in order to request all driver personalization settings.

Exit Lights

Continue with the following steps in order to personalize the exit lights features

  1. The DIC displays the default setting.
  2. Press the RESET button in order to scroll through and choose one of the following options: EXIT LIGHTS OFF EXIT LIGHTS -15 SEC EXIT LIGHTS - 30 SEC EXIT LIGHTS - 90 SEC
  3. Press the OPTIONS button in order to advance to the next option.

FOB Reminder

Continue with the following steps in order to personalize the fob reminder feature

  1. The DIC displays the default setting.
  2. Press the RESET button to change between the following options. FOB REMINDER OFF FOB REMINDER HORN
  3. Press the OPTIONS button in order to advance to the next option.

Passive Locking

Continue with the following steps in order to personalize the passive locking feature

  1. The DIC displays the default setting.
  2. Press the RESET button in order to change between the following options. PASSIVE LOCKING OFF SILENT PASSIVE LOCK HORN AT PASSIVE LOCK
  3. Press the OPTIONS button in order to advance to the next option.

Perimeter Lighting

Continue with the following steps in order to personalize the perimeter lighting feature

  1. The DIC displays APPROACH LIGHTS - ON.
  2. Press the RESET button to change to APPROACH LIGHTS - OFF.
  3. Press the OPTIONS button in order to advance to the next option.

Auto Lock

Continue with the following steps in order to personalize the automatic door locks feature

  1. The DIC displays the default setting.
  2. Press the RESET button to change between the following options. AUTO LOCK OFF AUTO LOCK ON
  3. AUTO UNLOCK is tied to the AUTO LOCK page and will not be shown if the AUTO LOCK page is set to OFF.
  4. Press the RESET button to change between the following AUTO UNLOCK options. AUTO UNLOCK OFF AUTO UNLOCK DRIVER AUTO UNLOCK BOTH
  5. Press the OPTIONS button in order to advance to the next option.

Park Assist

Continue with the following steps in order to personalize the Park Assist feature

  1. The DIC displays the default setting PARK ASSIST OFF.
  2. Press the RESET button to change to PARK ASSIST ON.

Press the OPTIONS button in order to advance to the next option.

Auto Recall

Continue with the following steps in order to personalize the Auto Recall feature

  1. The DIC displays the default setting
  2. Press the RESET button to change between the Auto Recall options: AUTO RECALL OFF AUTO RECALL ON
  3. Press the OPTIONS button in order to advance to the next option.

Auto Exit Recall

Continue with the following steps in order to personalize the Auto Exit Recall feature

  1. The DIC displays the default setting
  2. Press the RESET button to change between the Auto Exit Recall options: AUTO EXIT RECALL OFF AUTO EXIT RECALL ON
  3. Press the OPTIONS button in order to advance to the next option.

Flash At Unlock

Continue with the following steps in order to personalize the Flash At Unlock feature

  1. The DIC displays the default setting.
  2. Press the RESET button in order to change between the Flash At Unlock options: NO FLASH AT UNLOCK FLASH AT UNLOCK
  3. Press the OPTIONS button in order to advance to the next option

Flash At Lock

Continue with the following steps in order to personalize the Flash At Lock feature

  1. The DIC displays the default setting.
  2. Press the RESET button in order to change between the Flash At Lock options: NO FLASH AT LOCK FLASH AT LOCK
  3. Press the OPTIONS button in order to advance to the next option

DIC Language

Continue with the following steps in order to personalize the DIC display language

  1. The DIC displays LANGUAGE - ENGLISH.
  2. Press the RESET button in order to scroll through and choose one of the following options: LANGUAGE - FRENCH LANGUAGE - GERMAN LANGUAGE - SPANISH LANGUAGE - JAPANESE
  3. Press the OPTIONS button to start over at the beginning or allow the programming time to expire in order to exit.

Exit Programming

The DIC will resume normal operation approximately 15 seconds after the last feature has been personalized. Perform one of the following actions to end the programming before the list is complete

  1. Press the INFO UP or INFO DOWN buttons on the DIC.
  2. Turn the ignition from the RUN position.

Memory Seat and Memory Mirror Programming

The memory seat buttons allow for the recall of the comfort control temperature, fan speed and mode settings, radio presets, tone, volume, playback mode, last displayed station, compact disc position and tape direction as well as the seats, mirrors, and steering column. Perform the following actions in order to program the memory seats, the telescopic steering column, if equipped, and the memory mirrors for 2 separate drivers

  1. Move the seat, the telescopic steering column, if equipped, and the side view mirrors to the desired position.
  2. Press and hold the correct memory seat button for the specific driver until a chime is heard.
  3. Repeat the steps for the second driver.
  4. For the third driver, move the seat, the telescopic steering column, if equipped, and the side view mirrors to the desired position.
  5. Press and hold both memory seat buttons simultaneously until a chime is heard.
