| Preliminary Procedures Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle . Remove the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation . Disconnect the front wheel drive shaft from the front wheel bearing and hub assembly. Refer to Front Wheel Drive Shaft Replacement - Left Side , or Front Wheel Drive Shaft Replacement - Right Side (with MH2/MH4) , Front Wheel Drive Shaft Replacement - Right Side (with MXE) . Remove the front brake rotor. Refer to Front Brake Rotor Replacement . |
| 1 | Front Wheel Bearing and Hub Assembly Bolt (Qty: 3) CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution . Procedure DISCARD the front wheel bearing and hub assembly bolts. Use NEW bolts only. Clean the OLD threadlocker from the front wheel bearing and hub assembly bolts and bolt holes with denatured alcohol or equivalent and allow to dry. Apply NEW threadlocker to 2/3 of the threaded length of the front wheel bearing and hub assembly bolts and bolt holes. Refer to Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers . NOTE: Ensure there are no gaps in the NEW threadlocker along the filled area of the front wheel bearing and hub assembly bolts and bolt holes. Allow the NEW threadlocker to cure approximately 10 minutes before installation. Tighten 170 N.m (125 lb ft) |
