The shift light is used on M/T models. Light indicates the best transmission shift point for maximum fuel economy based on engine speed and load. Power for light is supplied through the GAUGES fuse. Light illuminates when PCM supplies a ground circuit for bulb. For wiring reference, see appropriate wiring diagram in the WIRING DIAGRAMS article.
