PRE-ALIGNMENT CHECKS
Note. Prior to performing wheel alignment, perform preliminary visual and mechanical inspection of wheels, tires and suspension components. See ALIGNMENT THEORY/OPERATION article in the WHEEL ALIGNMENT section.
TOE-IN (FRONT & REAR)
Loosen jam nut on inner tie rod. Adjust toe to specification by turning inner tie tie rod. DO NOT twist boots (if equipped). Tighten nuts to 45 ft. lbs. (61 N.m). (Scheme 2)

CAMBER (REAR)
- Remove rear auxiliary spring and strut assembly. See appropriate article in the SUSPENSION section.
- File a lateral hole (oblong) on: lower strut-to-knuckle attaching hole, lower strut attaching hole, and lower stabilizer bracket-to-strut attaching hole. (Scheme 3)
- Install strut assembly and adjust camber to proper specifications. Tighten strut-to-knuckle nuts to 136 ft. lbs. (184 N.m).
