IMPORTANTThe following steps must be completed before using the symptom tables.
  1. Perform «DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK-ENGINE ELECTRICAL»(/buick/park-avenue/ii-2002-2005/remont/body-electrical/#battery) before using the Symptom Tables in order to verify that all of the following are true: There are no DTCs set. The control modules can communicate via the serial data link.
  2. Review the system descriptions and operations in order to familiarize yourself with the system functions. Refer to one of the following system operations: «BATTERY DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION»(/buick/park-avenue/ii-2002-2005/remont/body-electrical/#battery) «STARTING SYSTEM DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION»(/buick/park-avenue/ii-2002-2005/remont/starter/#starting-system) «DESCRIPTION & OPERATION»(/buick/park-avenue/ii-2002-2005/remont/charging-system/#charging-system__description-operation) in GENERATORS & REGULATORS.
