Starter Removal & Installation Buick Electra VI

2.0l 4-CYL.

Disconnect cable from battery negative terminal. Remove wires from solenoid. Remove rear starter support bracket. Remove A/C compressor support rod (if equipped). Remove starter mounting bolts. Remove starter.

ALL OTHER ENGINES

1. Disconnect cable from battery negative terminal. Raise and support vehicle. Remove starter brackets or shields that may interfere with removal.
2. On "A" series, remove dust cover bolts and pull dust cover back. On all series, remove starter mounting bolts. Lower starter. Disconnect solenoid wires. Remove starter.
