2.0 Preparing the surface

  1. For better adhesion, remove oxide film and paint from the adhesive areas with a stainless steel wire brush or special sandpaper.
  2. Clean bonding surfaces with cleaning agent R1.
  3. Allow cleaned surfaces to dry for approx. 5 minutes. Bonding surfaces must be completely dry.
  1. Do not move the vehicle before the adhesive has hardened.
  2. Check the degree of hardness of the adhesive with a fingernail.
  3. If the adhesive cannot be pressed in any further with a fingernail, the vehicle may be moved (without engine force) for further processing applications (e.g. painting).

Vehicle strength for driving applications is achieved after

  1. 48 hours at an object temperature of 15°C.
  2. 10 hours at an object temperature of 23°C.
  3. 1 hour at an object temperature of 60°C.
  4. 0.5 hours at an object temperature of 85°C.
IMPORTANTWhen using radiant heaters, make sure that the object temperature does not exceed 85 °C. Excessively high temperatures will destroy the adhesive.
