IDENTIFICATION

WARNINGVehicles are equipped with air bag supplemental restraint system. Before attempting any repairs involving steering column, instrument panel or related components, see AIR BAG SAFETY PRECAUTIONS and DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM in AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEMS article.
CAUTIONWhen battery is disconnected, vehicle computer and memory systems may lose memory data. Driveability problems may exist until computer systems have completed a relearn cycle. See COMPUTER RELEARN PROCEDURES article in GENERAL INFORMATION before disconnecting battery.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT

Engine compartment fuse panel (Engine Electronics Fuse Carrier - A8680) is located at the left rear of engine compartment (Scheme 1)

Engine compartment fuses are protection for

  1. F1: 30A - Ignition Coils (1-6)
  2. F2: 30A - Idle Speed Control Valve
  3. F3: 20A Camshaft Position Sensors (1 and 2) Crankshaft Position Sensor Hot Film Mass Airflow Sensor Characteristic MAP Cooling Thermostat Secondary Air Injection Pump Relay Fuel Pump Relay Fuel Tank Leakage Diagnosis Module A/C Compressor Relay Exhaust Flap Valve ABS/DSC Unit DSC Steering Angle Sensor
  4. F4: 30A Oxygen Sensors (1-4) Transmission Control Module
  5. F5: 30A - Fuel Injectors Relay

PASSENGER COMPARTMENT

To locate the passenger compartment fuse box (Scheme 2) To access, open glove box, turn the locks by 90° and fold open the power distribution box downward. For fuse assignments for applicable models, see the Fuse Assignments table.

Luggage compartment Fuse 108 (200A) is protection for the passenger compartment fuse F105.
