Removal
- Clamp door window at raised position using wooden wedges. Remove door panel. Disconnect 4-pin and 2-pin connectors from power window motor.
- Remove screw from inside door handle. (Scheme 1) Remove door handle. Remove bolts and grind off rivets (as necessary). Remove power window regulator. (Scheme 2) Remove power window motor from regulator.
Installation
To install, reverse removal procedure. Replace rivets with bolts, washers and nuts. After installation is complete, perform power window regulator initialization. See INITIALIZATION under PROGRAMMING.

Removal & Installation (Except 5-Series & 7-Series)
Pull upward on shift boot to disengage clips. Remove insulation sheet (if necessary). Press power window switch up from underside of trim panel. Disconnect electrical connector. To install, reverse removal procedure.
Removal & Installation (5-Series & 7-Series)
For driver's switch, insert feeler gauge at positions shown. (Scheme 3) On all other switches, insert feeler gauge along edge of switch to disengage clips. On all switches, pull up on switch in area where feeler gauge is inserted until clips are free of door panel. Disconnect electrical connector and remove switch from vehicle. To install, reverse removal procedure.
