STEERING EFFORT IS TOO EASY WHEN VEHICLE IS MOVING, OKAY WHEN STATIONARY

No speedometer signal is present at terminal No. 1 (Black/White wire) of control unit connector. Electro/hydraulic converter is dirty. Remove and clean with compressed air. Control unit is defective.

STEERING EFFORT IS TOO HARD WHEN VEHICLE IS MOVING, OKAY WHEN STATIONARY

Control unit is defective.

STEERING EFFORT IS TOO HARD WHEN VEHICLE IS STATIONARY

  1. Ensure battery voltage is present at terminal No. 3 (Black/Green/White wire) of 3-wire control unit connector. Ensure terminal No. 2 of 3-wire connector is grounded. Repair circuits as necessary.
  2. Electro/hydraulic converter or electrical circuit is defective. Repair electrical circuit or replace converter
  3. Converter is dirty. Remove converter, and clean it using compressed air.
  4. Control unit is defective. Connect both connectors to control unit. Connect test light to battery positive (B+) and to terminal No. 2 (Black/White/Yellow wire) of 2-wire connector. Test light should light (light will be dim). If test light does not light, replace control unit.
