ACCESSORY DRIVE BELT INSPECTION
Removing and installing accessory drive belt is an in-depth procedure. Visually inspect accessory drive belt while installed on engine. Ensure belt has no splits, cracks or other damage. If necessary to remove and replace accessory drive belt, see ACCESSORY DRIVE BELTS article in ENGINES.
Accessory drive belt is adjusted automatically by self adjusting tensioner.

IDLE SPEED & MIXTURE
Note. Idle speed and air mixture is controlled by the ECM and are not adjustable. When engine is idling the ECM tries constantly to adjust actual engine speed so that it matches specified value. This means that the actual engine speed when idling should always be approximately the same as the specified engine speed.
THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR
Note. Throttle Position (TP) sensor is integral to Throttle Valve Control Module (TVCM) and is not adjustable. For testing procedures, see TVCM related testing procedure in SELF-DIAGNOSTICS or SYSTEM & COMPONENT TESTING article.
