Check control module version

  1. Connect Scan tool V.A.G 1551 and select "Brake electronics" with address word 03, see «VAG1551 SCAN TOOL (ST), CONNECTING AND ENTERING ADDRESS WORD»(/audi/s8/d2-2-2002-2003/remont/warning-system/#on-board-diagnostic-obd-absedlasr__vag1551-scan-tool-st-connecting-and) .
  2. Go back to the initial settings of the program by pressing the --> button

  1. Press buttons -0- and -1- for the function "Check control module version" and confirm entry with -Q-button.

Note. The control module version can only be altered by installing a new control module. Also refer to the Parts List for the correct ABS Control Module (w/EDL) -J104- for the vehicle.
