Remove the convertible top compartment cover. Refer to COVER .
Remove left and right luggage compartment trim panels. Refer to Removal and Installation .
Remove the convertible top compartment side trim piece. Refer to Removal and Installation .
Left: remove the hydraulic pump and set aside with the wires connected. Refer to HYDRAULIC PUMP .
Press the release, disconnect the connector -1- and remove it from the bracket.
Remove the bolt -2-.
Cut the cable tie on the hydraulic cylinder from the convertible top compartment cover side.

Push the expanding pins -2- in -direction of arrow- and remove the wiring harness cable channel -1- on the hinge.
Open the clip -2- on the hydraulic cylinder with a screwdriver -1- and pull it out to the side.

Remove the clip -3- using 80 - 200.
"Close" the hinge and remove the screws -arrows-.
Scheme 135
Remove the convertible top compartment hinge -1-.
Remove the clip -2- and remove the bolt from the hinge from the opposite side.
Remove the hydraulic cylinder from the mount on the hinge with the wires still connected.
Open the convertible top until the displayed position of the top and the convertible top compartment cover is reached.
Remove the screw -3- on the strap -4-.

Unclip the rollover protection trim -1- from the convertible top compartment cover trim -2-.
Open the convertible top until the displayed position of the top and the convertible top compartment cover is reached.
Remove the bolts -arrows-.

Remove the adjusting buffer bracket -1-.
Open the convertible top until the displayed position of the top and the convertible top compartment cover is reached.
Remove the adjusting buffer -1-.
Note. Ignore the -arrows-.
Open the convertible top until the displayed position of the top and the convertible top compartment cover is reached.
Remove the screws -1- and -3- end plate -2-.
Follow cleanliness rules. Refer to CLEAN WORKING CONDITIONS .
Open the convertible top until the displayed position of the top and the convertible top compartment cover is reached.
Turn off the ignition and press the convertible top operation switch -E137- -1- for approximately 5 seconds.
- The pressure in the hydraulic system will come down.
Left: remove the hydraulic pump, refer to HYDRAULIC PUMP .
Scheme 138
Remove the luggage compartment side trim. Refer to Removal and Installation .
Release the clip -3- on the hydraulic cylinder -4- with a screwdriver and remove the bolt to the side.
Remove the clips -1- and then remove the bolts -5-.
Remove the hydraulic cylinder from out of the hinge -2-.
If the hydraulic cylinder is being replaced
- Removing the hydraulic line, refer to «HYDRAULIC LINE ON CYLINDER»(ref-522389-S11850427212013011400000) .
If one hydraulic line is being replaced
- Remove the hydraulic line from the hydraulic cylinder. Refer to «HYDRAULIC LINE ON CYLINDER»(ref-522389-S11850427212013011400000) .
- Remove the hydraulic line from the valve block. Refer to «HYDRAULIC LINE ON VALVE BLOCK»(ref-522389-S03427445752013011400000) .
Follow cleanliness rules. Refer to CLEAN WORKING CONDITIONS .
Remove side trim. Refer to Removal and Installation .
Left: remove the subwoofer, if applicable. Refer to Removal and Installation .
Close the convertible top until the displayed position of the top and the convertible top compartment cover is reached.
Support the convertible top with a suitable wood stick.
Turn off the ignition and press the convertible top operation switch -E137- -1- for approximately 5 seconds.
- The pressure in the hydraulic system will come down.
Right: disconnect the connector -2- from the convertible top open position switch -F171-.
Scheme 139
Push the clip down -1- and remove the bolt -3- from the convertible top main bearing on the opposite side.
Disengage the hydraulic cylinder from the main bearing.
Release the clip on the hydraulic cylinder -1- with a screwdriver and remove the bolt -3- to the side.
Scheme 140
Cut the cable tie from the main bearing.
Remove the hydraulic cylinder upward out of the convertible top main bearing.
If the hydraulic cylinder is being replaced
- Removing the hydraulic line, refer to «HYDRAULIC LINE ON CYLINDER»(ref-522389-S11850427212013011400000) .
- Right: remove the convertible top open position switch.
If one hydraulic line is being replaced
- Remove the hydraulic line from the hydraulic cylinder. Refer to «HYDRAULIC LINE ON CYLINDER»(ref-522389-S11850427212013011400000) .
- Remove the hydraulic line from the valve block. Refer to «HYDRAULIC LINE ON VALVE BLOCK»(ref-522389-S03427445752013011400000) .
