Removing

1. In vehicles with Telematics, activate Telephone/Telematics Control Module J526 --> Service mode, activating/deactivating service mode.
2. Disconnect battery ground wire --> - 27 BATTERY, STARTER, GENERATOR, CRUISE CONTROL .
3. Follow safety precautions for airbag systems --> - 69 - PASSENGER PROTECTION - AIRBAGS, SEAT BELTS .
4. Remove drivers airbag --> - 69 - PASSENGER PROTECTION - AIRBAGS, SEAT BELTS .

Scheme 188

1. Disconnect harness connector - 1 - at button - 2 -.
2. Slide button - 2 - out of steering wheel in direction of arrow.
3. Turn the button around.

1. Disconnect harness connector - 2 - to Tiptronic switch at multi-function button - 1 - and remove it.

Installing

1. Install in reverse order.

Removing and installing the left multi-function button is identical.
