Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

1. Masking tape

Window immersion depth, determining

1. Close convertible top.

1. Raise window.
2. Tape masking tape - arrows - overlapping on window with door open.
3. Close door completely.

1. Dimension - a - = 80 mm.
2. Dimension - b - = 40 mm.

Note. Raise convertible top fabric - 1 - in place.

1. Apply a marking - arrow - to making tape at front and back directly below roof frame seal.
2. Open door.
3. Measure distance between marking and upper end of window.

1. Front immersion depth: max. 5 mm.
2. Rear immersion depth: max. 7 mm.

Window immersion depth, adjusting

1. Lower window.
2. Remove front and rear rubber stops - arrow - at bottom of door.
3. Insert a thin 5 mm hex socket head wrench through opening on door.

1. Door seal - 1 - does not need to be removed to insert hex socket head wrench.

1. Adjust front and rear window immersion depth by evenly turning both lifting units.

1. Turn right = greater immersion depth.
2. 1 turn corresponds to approx. 1.2 mm.

1. Seal off openings with rubber plugs.
2. Raise window and measure change.
3. Ensure window is parallel to side window, adjust if necessary --> «Side window, adjusting»(/audi/s4/b7-2004-2008/remont/door-locks-anti-theft-systems/#body-exterior-cabriolet__side-window-adjusting) .
