WASHER FLUID LINES

The following descriptions can be found in Description and Operation

  1. Washer fluid line hose connections, disconnecting and connecting.
  2. Corrugated hose washer fluid line, repairing.

Scheme 1

  1. Bolt - 8 Nm
  2. Bolt - 11 Nm For windshield wiper motor - must not be loosened.
  3. Windshield Wiper Frame, Passenger's Side Cannot be replaced separately.
  4. Bolt - 8 Nm
  5. Windshield Wiper Motor With Wiper Motor Control Module -J400- Removing and installing, refer to «WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR WITH WIPER MOTOR CONTROL MODULE»(ref-491667-S42021864712012073100000) .
  6. Connecting Rod
  7. Nut - 35 Nm
  8. Cap
  9. Windshield Wiper Blade, Passenger's Side Replacing, refer to «WINDSHIELD WIPER BLADES»(ref-491667-S12026962792012073100000) .
  10. Windshield Wiper Arm, Passenger's Side Removing and installing, refer to «WINDSHIELD WIPER ARMS»(ref-491667-S37492097092012073100000) . Adjusting, refer to «WINDSHIELD WIPER ARMS, ADJUSTING»(ref-491667-S00930950122012073100000) .
  11. Cover For passenger's side windshield wiper arm.
  12. Windshield Wiper Blade, Driver's Side Replacing, refer to «WINDSHIELD WIPER BLADES»(ref-491667-S12026962792012073100000) .
  13. Windshield Wiper Arm, Driver's Side Removing and installing, refer to «WINDSHIELD WIPER ARMS»(ref-491667-S37492097092012073100000) . Adjusting, refer to «WINDSHIELD WIPER ARMS, ADJUSTING»(ref-491667-S00930950122012073100000) .
  14. Cap
  15. Nut - 35 Nm
  16. Windshield Wiper Frame, Driver's Side Cannot be replaced separately.
  17. Bolt - 8 Nm
  18. Rubber Bushing
  19. Driver's Side Mount For windshield wiper frame.
  20. Nut - 8 Nm
  21. Bolt - 8 Nm
  22. Connecting Rod
  23. Rubber Bushing

  1. Connecting Pipe For nozzle.
  2. Nut - 12 Nm
  3. Spray Nozzle Removing and installing, refer to «SPRAY NOZZLE»(ref-491667-S17997533092012073100000) . Adjusting, refer to «REAR WINDOW SPRAY NOZZLE, ADJUSTING»(ref-491667-S19589193982012073100000) .
  4. Cap For rear window wiper.
  5. Wiper Arm Removing and installing, refer to «WIPER ARM»(ref-491667-S25802578682012073100000) .
  6. Wiper Blade Replacing, refer to «WIPER BLADES»(ref-491667-S26177369892012073100000) .

  1. Nut - 8 Nm
  2. Rear Window Wiper Motor -V12- Removing and installing, refer to «REAR WINDOW WIPER MOTOR - V12»(ref-491667-S41643292222012073100000) .
  3. Rubber Seal Removing and installing, refer to «RUBBER SEAL»(ref-491667-S20809909642012073100000) .
  4. Washer Fluid Hose

Remove screw -1- on filler tube -2-.

Remove front right wheel housing liner. Refer to Removal and Installation .

Remove filler tube filler hose -2- from washer fluid reservoir -arrow A- and from body cut-out -arrow B-.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following

Slide filler tube filler hose into washer fluid reservoir.

Note. Make sure O-ring -3- is not crimped when inserted.

Install the right front wheel housing liner. Refer to Removal and Installation .

Tightening Specifications

WASHER FLUID RESERVOIR

Removing

Switch off ignition and remove ignition key.

Remove right front wheel.

Remove front right wheel housing liner. Refer to Removal and Installation .

Remove filler tube filler hose -1- from washer fluid reservoir.

Disconnect electrical connector -3- on central connector.

Release catch and remove central connector -2- from bracket.

Vehicles With Headlamp Washer System

Disconnect hose coupling -4- by pressing release button.

All Vehicles

On vehicles with Tire Pressure Monitoring System, disengage electrical wiring harness from retainers -1- and -3- on washer fluid reservoir.

Place a drip tray under the windshield washer fluid reservoir.

Remove the bolts -2- and -4-.

Identify washer fluid lines -1- and -3- for installing on the windshield washer fluid pump -2- later.

Remove washer fluid lines on washer fluid pump.

Remove washer fluid reservoir downward.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following

When attaching water hose, make sure it engages audibly in connection of washer fluid pump.

Slide filler tube filler hose into washer fluid reservoir.

Note. Be careful not to crimp the o-ring when installing it.

Install the right front wheel housing liner. Refer to Removal and Installation .

Special tools and workshop equipment required

  1. Drip Tray

Switch off ignition and remove ignition key.

Remove right front wheel.

Remove front right wheel housing liner. Refer to Removal and Installation .

Disconnect the electrical connector -1-.

Place a drip tray under the windshield washer fluid reservoir.

Remove the windshield washer fluid level sensor -item 2- from the washer fluid reservoir.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following

Check the sealing grommet -3- for damage.

Install the right front wheel housing liner. Refer to Removal and Installation .

Note. Combined washer fluid reservoir for front and back windshield washer systems is located in front right wheel housing. Removing and installing, refer to

Note. The shared windshield and headlamp washer system washer fluid reservoir is located in the right front wheel housing. Removing and installing, refer to WASHER FLUID RESERVOIR .
