Removing
Affects Vehicles with Air Suspension
Place vehicle on hoist. Refer to POSITIONING VEHICLE ON HOIST AND WHEELS .
Affects All Vehicles
Remove noise insulation. Refer to Removal and Installation .
Disconnect left and right connectors -2-.
Pry the cap -1- (if equipped) off the balance weight -2- and remove the bolt.

Remove the damper -2- from the stabilizer bar clamp.
Remove bolts -1- to -4-.
Remove stabilizer bar -5-.
Installing
Installation is the reverse of removal, with special attention to the following
Note. If you the replace stabilizer, note chassis version. Stabilizer and mounting must be free of grease. Note stabilizer bar bearing location.
Scheme 89
Install bolts -4- through -1- and tighten.
Install the cap -1- (if equipped) and the balance weight -2-.
Note. Bonded rubber bushings can only be turned to a limited extent. Only tighten suspension bolts when the vehicle is in curb weight or control position. Wheel bearing, lifting to curb weight position on vehicles with coil springs. Refer to WHEEL BEARING IN CURB WEIGHT, LIFTING VEHICLES WITH COIL SPRING . Wheel bearing, lifting to control position on vehicles with air suspension. Refer to WHEEL BEARING IN CONTROL POSITION, LIFTING VEHICLES WITH AIR SUSPENSION .
Install left and right connectors -2-.
Tightening specifications, refer to SUBFRAME, STABILIZER BAR AND COUPLING ROD OVERVIEW
Install noise insulation. Refer to Removal and Installation
On vehicles with air suspension, position vehicle on wheels. Refer to POSITIONING VEHICLE ON HOIST AND WHEELS .
