DESCRIPTION & OPERATION

Mirrors can be adjusted electrically from inside by operating control knob on driver door panel. If electrical control of mirror does not operate, mirror can be adjusted manually.

Adjustment control operates only when ignition is on. When rear defogger is on, outside mirrors are electrically heated. To adjust mirror, rotate control knob to "L" or "R". Control knob is a 4-way rocker switch which is pressed top (up), bottom (down), left (out) or right (in).

LEFT OR RIGHT POWER MIRROR INOPERATIVE

Check power mirror switch, power mirror motor(s), wiring, ground connection(s) and fuse(s). Use operator's manual to identify fuse(s).

TESTING

Removal

Lower window. Swing mirror to rear position. Remove mounting screws. Remove power mirror assembly. Unplug electrical connector.

Installation

To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten inner mounting screw to 21 INCH lbs. (2 N.m). Tighten inner mounting screw to 42 INCH lbs. (5 N.m). Swing mirror back to normal position and press inward until it engages base.

POWER MIRROR GLASS

WARNINGAlways wear protective gloves and safety glasses while handling mirror glass.

Using thin plastic wedge, pry mirror glass out at top and bottom. While holding mirror, unplug electrical connector and remove mirror glass. To install, connect electrical connector. Press mirror into place. Check mirror for proper function.
