Level Control System Control Module, Removing and Installing

Removing

1. If control module is replaced, select "Replace" function for respective control module in "Guided Fault Finding".

Use vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system VAS 5051 A.

Note. The level control system control module J197 is installed on the bulkhead behind the glove compartment.

Follow safety precautions when disconnecting the battery --> 27 - BATTERY, STARTER, GENERATOR, CRUISE CONTROL .

1. Disconnect battery Ground (GND) cable with ignition switched off --> «27 - BATTERY, STARTER, GENERATOR, CRUISE CONTROL»(/audi/a8/d3-2-2007-2010/remont/cruise-control-systems/#electrical-equipment) .
2. Remove glove compartment --> «68 - INTERIOR EQUIPMENT»(/audi/a8/d3-2-2007-2010/remont/gauges-instrument-panels/#body-interior) .
3. Remove air duct from the control module --> «87 - AIR CONDITIONING»(/audi/a8/d3-2-2007-2010/remont/ac-compressor/#heating-air-conditioning) .

Scheme 226

1. Release connector - 1 - on the control module in direction of - arrow - and remove it.
2. Remove control module - 2 -.

Installing

Installation is in reverse order of removal. Observe the following when doing so

1. Level Control System Control Module J197 , re-adapting --> «Level Control System Control Module, Programming»(/audi/a8/d3-2-2007-2010/remont/axle-shafts/#suspension-wheels-and-steering__level-control-system-control-module-programming) .
2. Install air duct on the control module --> «87 - AIR CONDITIONING»(/audi/a8/d3-2-2007-2010/remont/ac-compressor/#heating-air-conditioning) .
3. Install glove compartment --> «68 - INTERIOR EQUIPMENT»(/audi/a8/d3-2-2007-2010/remont/gauges-instrument-panels/#body-interior) .
