1 - Hood
- Height adjustment is performed via the lock bracket.
- Screw lock bracket completely into hood.
- Unscrew bracket 3 rotations.
- Place anti-twist mechanism on and secure it over lock bracket with a Torx bolt.
- Check flush alignment and gap dimensions
- During the closing test, hood must fall from balance position into hood lock and engage completely.
- If necessary, correct adjustment and perform test anew.
2 - Buffer stop
- To adjust hood, screw out buffer stop far enough until flush alignment to fender is attained.
- For correct adjustment, buffer stop must make contact on lock carrier.
3 - Anti-twist mechanism with lock bracket
- Secure anti-twist mechanism after hood adjustment via lock bracket.
4 - Torx screw
- 2Nm
5 - Clip
- Inserted in inner part of hood.
6 - Spring damper
- Clipped in inner part of hood.

- Unclip retaining clips - 3 - (18x) and remove hood lining - 1 - from hood - 2 -.
Scheme 22
1 - Hood seal
- Install seal on both sides on seals - 3 - at left and right.
- Press seal onto flange from rear toward front.
2 - Plenum chamber seal
- Install seal on both sides on seals - 3 - at left and right.
- Press seal at both sides onto plenum chamber flange.
3 - Right/left hood seal
- Self-adhesive.
- Adhesion surface free of dust and grease.
- Remove protective paper before applying.
- Position release cable in passage - 5 -.
- Position seal on fender mounting bolt.
- Press seal firmly onto fender and suspension strut cap.

- Screwed into fender flange.
- Seal bonded over bolt on left and right.

- Adjust cable at adjustment screw so that left and right sides of hood open simultaneously when slowly operating the opening lever.

5 - Fender

- Cable must be adjusted so that left and right sides of hood open simultaneously when slowly operating opening lever.
- Set the adjustment screw - arrow - on adjuster - 2 - accordingly.
- Secure divider on lock carrier with clip - 3 -.

- Insert connecting piece turned 180° into divider housing - 1 -.

- Slide cable into vehicle interior through grommet in bulkhead.

- When installing, first clip cable - 1 - into opening lever, then press into mounting bracket.
