DESCRIPTION & OPERATION

Mirrors can be adjusted electrically from inside vehicle by operating control switch on driver's door panel. If electrical control of mirror does not operate, mirror can be adjusted manually.
Adjustment control operates only when ignition is on. Outside mirrors are heated automatically when outside temperature is low and ignition is on. To adjust mirror, select right or left mirror on mirror selection switch, then press control switch in direction mirror is to be moved. Mirror selection switch has a neutral position. This position disables control switch.
Removal & Installation (A4)
Remove cover from front top of door panel. Remove mounting screw. Remove power mirror assembly. (Scheme 1) Unplug electrical connector. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten mounting screw to 9 ft. lbs. (12 N.m).

POWER MIRROR GLASS

Using thin plastic wedge, pry mirror glass out at top and bottom. While holding mirror, unplug electrical connector for heated mirror element and remove mirror glass. To install, connect electrical connector. Press mirror into place. Check mirror for proper function.
- Remove trim cover from beneath pull handle and remove 3 Torx screws. Remove screw from top rear of door panel. Lift door panel up to disengage retainers. Disconnect inside door handle release cable from door panel. Disconnect remaining electrical connectors from door panel. Remove door panel from vehicle.
- Turn door panel over and remove bolts attaching grip handle to door panel. Release retainers for grip handle. Remove grip handle from door panel.
- Use a small, flat-blade screwdriver to depress locking tabs on power mirror switch. Remove switch from grip handle. To install, reverse removal procedure.
