  1. Make sure you have the anti-theft codes for the audio system and the navigation system (if equipped), then write down the audio presets.
  2. Disconnect the battery negative cable.
  3. Remove the left front door sill trim and left kick panel (see «TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION - DOOR AREAS»(/acura/tsx/i-2003-2008/remont/exteriorinterior-trim/#interior-trim__trim-removalinstallation-door-areas) ).
  4. Disconnect the 6P connector from the driver's under-dash fuse/relay box. (Scheme 1): Identifying Driver's Under-Dash Fuse/Relay Box 6P Connector Terminal
  5. Check for continuity between the terminals in each switch position according to the table. (Scheme 2): Continuity Terminals Reference Chart
  6. If the continuity checks do not agree with the table, replace the steering lock.
  7. After reconnecting the battery, enter the anti-theft code for the audio system and the navigation system (if equipped), then enter the audio presets. Set the clock (on vehicles without navigation).
  8. Do the engine idle learn procedure (see «ECM/PCM IDLE LEARN PROCEDURE»(/acura/tsx/i-2003-2008/remont/engine-control-systems/#idle-control-system__ecmpcm-idle-learn-procedure) ) and the power window control unit reset procedure (see «RESETTING THE POWER WINDOW»(/acura/tsx/i-2003-2008/remont/windows/#power-window-system__resetting-the-power-window) ).
