SRS components are located in this area. Review the SRS component locations (see COMPONENT LOCATION INDEX ) and precautions and procedures (see PRECAUTIONS AND PROCEDURES ) in the SRS before performing repairs or servicing.

- Make sure you have the anti-theft codes for the audio system and the navigation system (if equipped), then write down the audio presets.
- Disconnect the battery negative cable.
- Remove the left front door sill trim and left kick panel (see «TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION - DOOR AREAS»(/acura/tsx/i-2003-2008/remont/exteriorinterior-trim/#interior-trim__trim-removalinstallation-door-areas) ).
- Disconnect the 6P connector from the driver's under-dash fuse/relay box. (Scheme 1): Identifying Driver's Under-Dash Fuse/Relay Box 6P Connector Terminal
- Check for continuity between the terminals in each switch position according to the table. (Scheme 2): Continuity Terminals Reference Chart
- If the continuity checks do not agree with the table, replace the steering lock.
- After reconnecting the battery, enter the anti-theft code for the audio system and the navigation system (if equipped), then enter the audio presets. Set the clock (on vehicles without navigation).
- Do the engine idle learn procedure (see «ECM/PCM IDLE LEARN PROCEDURE»(/acura/tsx/i-2003-2008/remont/engine-control-systems/#idle-control-system__ecmpcm-idle-learn-procedure) ) and the power window control unit reset procedure (see «RESETTING THE POWER WINDOW»(/acura/tsx/i-2003-2008/remont/windows/#power-window-system__resetting-the-power-window) ).
