DTC B1702: Display Panel Control Unit EEPROM Error Acura TL III facelift

Note. Display panel control unit DTCs may not clear using the HDS. If the DTCs will not clear, manually reset the display panel control unit (see RESETTING THE DISPLAY PANEL ). If you are troubleshooting multiple DTCs, be sure to follow the instructions in B-CAN system diagnosis test mode A (see TROUBLESHOOTING - B-CAN SYSTEM DIAGNOSIS TEST MODE A ).

Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
Clear for DTCs with the HDS.
Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0), and then back ON (II).
Check for DTCs with the HDS. Is DTC B1702 indicated? YES -Replace the display panel control unit. NO -Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time.
