  1. Do the battery terminal disconnection procedure (see «BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION AND RECONNECTION»(ref-348526-S32567287482009112400000) ).
  2. Remove the driver's dashboard undercover (see «DRIVER'S DASHBOARD UNDERCOVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(/acura/rl/ii-facelift-2008-2012/remont/exteriorinterior-trim/#dashboard) ). Remove the steering column covers (see step 7 under «STEERING COLUMN REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION»(ref-348511-S08332992362009112400000) ).
  3. Disconnect the 7P connector (A) from ignition switch (B).
  4. Check for continuity between the terminals in each switch position according to the table.
  5. If the continuity checks do not agree with the table, replace the ignition switch (see «IGNITION SWITCH REPLACEMENT»(/acura/rl/ii-facelift-2008-2012/remont/steering-column-switches/#ignition-switch) ).
  6. Do the battery terminal reconnection procedure (see «BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION AND RECONNECTION»(ref-348526-S32567287482009112400000) ).

  1. Do the battery terminal disconnection procedure (see «BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION AND RECONNECTION»(ref-348526-S32567287482009112400000) ).
  2. Remove the driver's dashboard undercover (see «DRIVER'S DASHBOARD UNDERCOVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(/acura/rl/ii-facelift-2008-2012/remont/exteriorinterior-trim/#dashboard) ). Remove the steering column covers (see step 7 under «STEERING COLUMN REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION»(ref-348511-S08332992362009112400000) ).
  3. Disconnect the 7P connector (A) from ignition switch (B).
  4. Remove the two screws and the ignition switch.
  5. Install the ignition switch in the reverse order of removal.
  6. Do the battery terminal reconnection procedure (see «BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION AND RECONNECTION»(ref-348526-S32567287482009112400000) ).
