1. Carefully pry off the lens with a small screwdriver (see «FRONT INDIVIDUAL MAP LIGHT REPLACEMENT»(/acura/rdx/i-2006-2009/remont/interiorillumination-lights/#interior-lights) ).
2. Pull down the roof console (A) holding the center part of the roof console.
3. Remove the moonroof switch (see «MOONROOF SWITCH TEST/REPLACEMENT»(/acura/rdx/i-2006-2009/remont/sun-rooft-topconvertible-top/#power-moonroof) ).
4. Disconnect the 20P connector (B) from the roof console.
5. Check for continuity between the terminals in each interior light switch position according to (Scheme 6). NOTE: Before testing, check the front individual map light bulb(s). When check for continuity across the diode, use the diode setting on the digital volt/ohm meter to check the diode bias.
6. If the continuity and the diode bias is not as specified, replace the roof console as an assembly.

Scheme 7

1. Carefully pry off the lens (A) with a small screwdriver.
2. Check the bulb(s) (B). If the bulb is OK, but there is a malfunction, check the interior light switch (see «INTERIOR LIGHTS SWITCH TEST/REPLACEMENT»(/acura/rdx/i-2006-2009/remont/interiorillumination-lights/#interior-lights) ).

Scheme 8

1. Turn the ceiling light switch OFF.
2. Carefully pry the lens (A) off with a small screwdriver.
3. Remove the screws, then remove the ceiling light (B).
4. Disconnect the 3P connector (C) from the ceiling light.
5. Check for continuity between the terminals. There should be continuity between the No. 2 and No. 3 terminals with the switch in the ON position. There should be continuity between the No. 1 and No. 2 terminals with the switch in the DOOR position. There should be no continuity between the No. 1 and No. 2 terminals, and between the No. 2 and No. 3 terminals with the switch in the OFF position.
6. If the continuity is not as specified, check the bulb. If the bulb is OK, replace the light.
7. Install the ceiling light in the reverse order of removal.

Scheme 9

1. Open the tailgate.
2. Carefully pry out the cargo area light (A).
3. Disconnect the 2P connector (B) from the light.
4. Check for continuity between the No. 1 and No. 2 terminals. There should be continuity. If there is no continuity, check the bulb (C). If the bulb is OK, replace the cargo area light.

Scheme 10

1. Remove the glove box stops and damper (see «GLOVE BOX REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(/acura/rdx/i-2006-2009/remont/gauges-instrument-panels/#dashboard-instrument-panel__glove-box-removalinstallation) ).
2. Turn the bulb socket (A) 45° counterclockwise to remove it.
3. Remove the bulb (B) from the socket.
4. Install the glove box light in the reverse order of removal.

Scheme 11

1. Carefully pry off the lens (A) with a small screwdriver.
2. Remove the bulb (B) from the socket.
3. Install the courtesy light in the reverse order of removal.

1. Remove the sunvisor (see «SUNVISOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(/acura/rdx/i-2006-2009/remont/exteriorinterior-trim/#interior-trim__sunvisor-removalinstallation) ).
2. Disconnect the 2P connector from the sunvisor (A).
3. Check for continuity between the No. 1 and No. 2 terminals. With the vanity mirror cover (B) opened, there should be continuity. With the vanity mirror cover closed, there should be no continuity.
4. If the continuity check is not as specified, go to step 5.
5. Carefully pry off the lens (A) with a small screwdriver.
6. Remove the two screws, then remove the vanity mirror light (B).
7. Disconnect the two terminals (C) from the vanity mirror light.
8. Check for continuity between the terminals. There should continuity between the terminals with the vanity mirror cover opened. There should be no continuity between the terminals, with the vanity mirror cover closed.
9. If the continuity is not as specified, check the bulb or the light. If the bulb or light is OK, replace the sunvisor.
10. Install the vanity mirror light in the reverse order of removal.

Scheme 14

1. Open the center console lid.
2. Carefully pry out the console box light lens (A).
3. Turn the bulb socket (B) 45° counterclockwise to remove it from the lens.
4. Remove the bulb (C) from the socket.
5. Install the console box light in the reverse order of removal.

Ambient Light Test

1. Remove the roof console and disconnect the 20P connector (see «INTERIOR LIGHTS SWITCH TEST/REPLACEMENT»(/acura/rdx/i-2006-2009/remont/interiorillumination-lights/#interior-lights) ).
2. Connect the roof console connector terminal No. 3 to battery power and terminal No. 7 to body ground. The ambient lights (A) should turn on. If they do not turn on, replace the roof console.
