Center Console Removal/Installation

Note. Put on gloves to protect your hands. Use the appropriate tool from the KTC trim tool set to avoid damage when prying components. Take care not to scratch the center console, dashboard, and related parts.

- Detach the hooks (A) by pulling the AT gear position indicator cover (B) up.
- Remove the driver's console trim (A) and passenger's console trim (B). Detach the clips (C) by pulling up on the rear portion of the trim up. Detach the clips (D) by pulling it up from the dashboard, then remove it.
- Open the armrest (A), and detach the clips, then remove the center console panel (B) up.
- Remove the screw (A) and clip (B), then pull out the driver's console cover (C) to detach the clips (D). Release the fastener (E) and hooks (F), then remove the cover.
- Detach the clips and hooks (A) by pulling the passenger's console cover (B) out, and pull it backward to release the pin (C) from the passenger's dashboard undercover, then remove it.
- Remove the center console (A): Disconnect the accessory power socket connector and console light connector. Remove the bolts (B) of the console. Lift the rear of the console, then detach the clips (C) by pulling the console backward to remove.
- Install the center console in the reverse order of removal, and note these items: Check if the clips are damaged or stress-whitened, and if necessary, replace them with new ones. Push the clips into place securely.
Center Console Armrest Removal/Installation

- Remove the armrest base (A). Open the armrest (B), then remove the screws (C). Pull out the armrest base to detach the clips (D).
- Remove the screws, then remove the armrest (A) from the armrest hinge (B).
- Install the center console armrest in the reverse order of removal. Check if the clips are damaged or stress-whitened, and if necessary, replace them with new ones.
Armrest Lock Replacement

- Remove the screws, then remove the armrest lock (A) from the center console armrest (B).
- Pull out the armrest lock cover (A) to detach the hooks (B) from the armrest lock (C). If necessary, remove the key cylinder (D) by pulling out the spring (E).
- Install the armrest lock in the reverse order of removal.

- Remove the center console armrest (see «CENTER CONSOLE ARMREST REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(/acura/rdx/i-2006-2009/remont/exteriorinterior-trim/#consoles__center-console-armrest-removalinstallation) ).
- Pull out the center console rear trim (A) to detach the clips.
- Remove the screw (A), then pull out the passenger's console (B) to detach the clips (C, D) and hooks (E), then remove it.
- Remove the screws (A, B), then remove the armrest hinge (C) from the console box (D).
- Detach the hooks (A) by pulling out the latch hole trim (B), then remove it.
- Remove the screws (A, B), then pull out the driver's console (C) to detach the clips (D, E) and hooks (F), then remove it.
- Remove the screws (A, B), then remove the center console rear bracket (C), center console driver's bracket (D) and center console bracket (E) away from the console box (F) as shown.
- Assemble the console in the reverse order of removal.
- If necessary, remove the audio pocket (A) from the dashboard. Remove the screws. Pull out the audio pocket, and disconnect the front accessory power socket connector (B), driver's seat heater switch connector (C) and front passenger's seat heater switch connector (D). Remove the pocket by pushing it to the left.
- Assemble the console in the reverse order of removal.
Center Console Beverage Holder Replacement
Note. Take care not to scratch the center console, dashboard, and related parts.

- Remove the center console panel (see step 3 under «CENTER CONSOLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(/acura/rdx/i-2006-2009/remont/exteriorinterior-trim/#consoles__center-console-removalinstallation) ).
- Remove the screws, then remove the center console beverage holder (A) from the center console panel (B).
- Install the beverage holder in the reverse order of removal.
